REMIX 2018



Global Fur Design competition



Deadline for entries: 11th December 2017



Competition date: February 2018

REMIX 2018  is a competition that gives the opportunity to fashion students and young designers from across the globe
to showcase their creativity in fur design to a highly influential
international audience, through traditional and online media and thanks
to the support of Vogue Talents.

Required
things to partecipate:

  1. Entries
    will only be accepted from design students who are currently studying or have
    graduated from design school within four years from the date of entry to the
    competition.
  2. The
    three garments you are planning on putting forward for your application MUST
    have an aspect of fur. The primary garment should be a full fur look and the 2
    supporting garments may also be a full fur look, or contain fur as a trim or
    part of an accessory.

BILBAO INTERNATIONAL ART & FASHION




International fashion design contest

BILBAO INTERNATIONAL ART & FASHION is an
international competition that wants to promote emerging designer from all
over the world aged from 18 to 35 years old. Particularly focused on the connection between art and fashion, this
contest will award the designers who better express the relationship with the world
of art from the historic or creative point of view, in the
inspiration behind the collection itself or in specific references: fabric
prints, shapes, details etc.

    is open to young people of any nationality who are aged between 18 and 35 years

Global scouting for Indian fashion designers

Competition date: February 2018 showcase in Mumbai (India), September 2018 showcase in Milan (Italy)


Developed in collaboration between FAD- INSTITUTE OF LUXURY FASHION AND STYLE and VOGUE TALENTS, the competition SCOUTINGFOR INDIA VOGUE TALENTS is opened
exclusively to Indian designers who have their own brand and live in India or
elsewhere in the world. Scouted for womenswear, menswear and accessory areas,
all the selected designers will present their collection in Mumbai and the
winner will have the opportunity to showcase his/her talent in an iconic event
by Vogue Talents during
Milan Fashion Week.

the LEVI’S X ATRS THREAD COMPETITION 2018,  the iconic denim company is
looking for the best design talent who will win 10 weeks design internship at
Levi’s San Francisco (USA) headquarter in summer 2018, to work with the best

Levi’s archive and the Eureka Innovation Lab.

PPC IMAGINARIUM
Fashion Design competition

PPC IMAGINARIUM AWARDS is
a competition that wants to reward young students and emerging designers coming
from South Africa and Zimbabwe, giving them the opportunity to showcase their
talent and creativity through the use of PPC (Portland cement-based concrete)
as a medium mixed with other materlias like fabrics or leather.
How to partecipate:

Required things to partecipate: 
1.     
Students in their final year of BAS, B.Tech or the
equivalent at recognised universities in South Africa and Zimbabwe. 
  1. Emerging
    designers, tailors and stylists who have not yet established themselves in
    the industry.
  2. Participants
    must be 18 years or older.
  3. You online
    submission should be limited to 250 words, include design sketches and/ or
    a mood board to display patterns and colours and can include a short
    video.
  4. When you
    submit your physical application, it must represent your online
    application.
  5. Conceptualise
    a mini-collection that uses Portland cement-based concrete as a medium
    combined with other materials, such as textiles, leather, wood, bronze,
    glass etc.
  6. This
    mini-collection of outfits can include three accessories and can be
    designed for men, women, or can be a mix of menswear and
    womenswear.  
  7. Accompanying
    accessories could be: bags, belts, hats, shoes, eyewear, headgear,
    scarves. Entrants can paint and dip fabric using cement and concrete.

HAND
& LOCK PRIZES FOR EMBROIDERY
Rewarding excellence in embroidery design

Competition date: September 2018
The purpose of the HAND & LOCK PRIZE FOR EMBROIDERY is to
promote the use of hand and digital embroideries in fashion, costume and
textile design industries through a competition that gives a global exposure to
fashion students, designers and artists, rewarded with monetary prizes and work
placement at Hand & Lock company.
How to partecipate:
1.       Read the 2018 Brief  written by Polly Kenny of The London College of Fashion
2.       Select your specialism (hand or
digital embroidery, fashion or textile), category (student or open category),
register and pay the entry fee.
3.       Get embroidering until June and
then submit images of your work. The First stage doesn’t require anything
physical – just photographs of your work in progress and any
supporting/research work.

Required things to partecipate:
  1. Student sub-category: If you are a full/part
    time student on or before March 30 th 2017 you may enter for the student
    category and qualify for the discount.
    Students pay a subsidised entry fee.
  2. Open sub-category: The open category is for
    entrants of all ages with an interest in embroidery.

COMPETITION 2018

The ARTS OF
FASHION COMPETITION
is organized by Arts and
Fashion Foundation
with no commercial motives and is dedicated to
fashion students to celebrate their creativity. 50 selected students will
partecipate to to a fashion show in San Francisco and can win scholarship (4
weeks masterclass in Paris) and apprenticeships in prestigious fashion houses
(like
