What is STYLE?

(ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)

Il termine stile viene solitamente utilizzato per
indicare

accessori esteticamente accattivanti, belli o preziosi.

diversi filoni.

ENGLISH VERSION

Style is one of the most
used and abused words in both web and real world.
But what does it mean exactly and how is interpreted
its meaning?
The term style is usually used to indicate the particular way
of being and behaving, dressing and speaking of
a perso, but
in the expansion of
thought of web and of an even more globalized world, the words sometimes assumes such
and so many possible applications laddering from their
original meaning until become ductile and transparent as tulle
net.
Leaving aside the more or less improper use of
the term, the etymological dictionary assimilates the style to
the word “stylus“, originated from the greek “stylos” which
means column, or “styô“, a sharp body that stays straight.
So the style is a column. To play with words and images, the Greek
columns were formed by several cylinders of stone ringed on
each other. So I could define the style as a set of elements that
form the mainstay of the expression of own personality, creativity and way
of dress, move and pose. Just to understand what rings are to list
to hold the weight of own personality.
But stylus was also the wooden, bone
or ivory stick with which the ancient wrote the wax
tablets in what were the beginnings of writing. So the word style
began to identify different special qualities of a writer and, by
extension, of an artist.
Style is the way a
person
describes” his
personality through
the construction of his image.
Choose a dress, observing the shape, the
color and
the way it falls
on the figure, presupposes in itself a choice of style, the will to manifest the
essence of
self through the
body and visual
expression
.
Style is a
declaration of character.
Is to take a position in
an
increasingly fast and connected world where opinions and fashions change
as a breath of seasonal wind.
The style is lasting, mature,
recognizable, unique.

Among its opposite there are malleability,
ductility, transformation, adaptation to the aesthetic and thought imposed by
fashion and society.
The style is certainty, infuses
security, gives the idea that there is something firm and unchangeable in a
world where beauty has no time to settle and be admired because immediately
replaced by something more trendy, younger or fun. The style can’t be the
result of a moment, of a passing trend.
It must be recognized, because is
vain to deny that distinguish our personality from the others is an essential
component of our need to wear clothes and accessories aesthetically appealing,
beautiful or precious.

The style can have many faces, in
the sense that it can develops following different strands. But all united
by the search for uniqueness. Since beauty is ephemeral, fashion passes
(in the words of
Mademoiselle Coco), but our personality can speak
loud and clear in the background noise of a hyper fast, busy, distracted and
forgetful world, and the echoes can be perpetuated over time in our memory.
