After two years, finally the young fashion students of Istituto Secoli come back to catwalk for presenting their new graduate collections “Sense” and 4 “Designer to Watch”.
The “Secoli Fashion Show” is always one of the most awaited and interesting events in the field of emerging fashion design, an occasion to admire the great skills and the aesthetic sensitiveness of the young students of Istituto Secoli, the renowned fashion school in Milan famous for its tailoring and patternmaking method.
Arrived at its 39th edition, the “Secoli Fashion Show” of 2022 turned again the fashion show in phisical event with an enthusiastic and numerous presence of public and fashion expert, after two long years of pandemic and digital presentations only.
The Istituto Secoli’s graduate fashion show once again brought on catwalk four interesting “Designer to Watch” selected among their best students.
ALEX BELLUCCI‘s capsule collection relives the memories of an Italian story altered by the digitalization of the present day, which change the perception of shapes and colors, still mainteining their pureness and elegance.
RAFFAELLA MASTRANGELO analyses the fake personality of people on social media, the creation of a false image corrupted and dirty. The collection exasperates this concept, taken inspiration from the abstract pattern of Igor Skaletsky and by the style of “Faux Real” musical duo.
JACOPO MONTANARI was inspired, for his collection “Name_Error”, by the concept of mistakes commited by artificial intelligence in the process of recreating the human shapes and the images. The collection presents excessive volumes and alteration of the normal silhouettes, apparently wrong ways to wear the garments and asymetrical details.
CHIARA ZAPPA‘s graduate collection starts with the concept of an emotional evolution of the human body, which, through the sensations and the transformation of the shapes and colors, finds a new way to express the feelings and to communicate its identity.
The “Secoli Fashion Show 2022”, was then inspired by a very interesting topic. The collective graduate fashion show “Sense” in fact was inspired by the concept of aesthetic and beauty, intended as sensation and intuition, a development of a storytelling starting from the perception of our senses towards the achievement of a final purpose, i.e. the complete understanding of the “beauty of sense”.
On catwalk this inspirational theme was developed into 6 “aesthetic environments”, each one with its own individuality and strong appearance:
AUTHENTICITY, in which the pureness and the real essence of materials and textures were interpreted by the young fashion designers Silvia Cristofolini, Valentina Hu, Nina Scaccini, Veronica Grande, Rossella Corso e Ylenia Mariani.
SIMBOLIC, in which the aesthetic environments is interpreted by irony and a pinch of provocation by the fashion students Isabella Gaviraghi, Anna Cristofolini, Fangjing Ye, Laura Barone, Giulia Ornaghi e Michela Chen.
In STASIS the quiet and the meditation capture the passage of time in the conceptual interpretation given by the young fashion designers Martina Rubini, Federica Bombieri, Julia Roza Bochra, Erica Biaggi, Thi Bich Thao Pensa e Sara Del Bene.
DINAMICITY explores the change and the evolution of the person from undefinited to clearly determined through the explosion of color and an energeticc movement, in the creations by Paul Albert Magsino, Erika Tresoldi, Clarissa Andreolli, Samuele Spinelli, Silvia Freschi, Sofia Ugoccioni, Elia Saulle e Gabriela Solcan Savu.
EQUILIBRIUM intended as balance between opposites, between rigid and fluid shapes, oniric and stability that, connected, create a perfect harmony, as in the outfits brought on catwalk by Alessia Maffei, Noemi Zanotti, Martina Bellio, Ni Chen, Deborah Cotti, Xiangchi Chen e Irina Bulgaru.
INTENSITY interpreted as expression of energy and power in the relation between body and object by the young fashion students Marta Breda, Ying Lin, Nicoletta Parsani, Margherita Aureli, Eleonora Russo, Jonida Lalaj e Alessandra Pedrielli.
