L’artista della Pop Art era famoso, negli anni Sessanta, per i suoi “Great American Nudes”, rappresentazioni sintetiche di figure e oggetti della vita quotidiana che rimandano ai grandi nudi della più classica arte moderna. Negli anni ’80 la serie “Smokers”, enormi labbra femminili perennemente accompagnate da sigarette accese, entra nell’immaginario collettivo.
The artist of Pop Art was famous in the sixties, for his “Great American Nudes“, synthetic representations of figures and everyday objects that recall to the great nudes of classic modern art. In the 80’s the “Smokers“ series, huge female lips perpetually accompanied by lighted cigarettes, enters in the collective imagination.
